Library Activities

Minto circle Senior secondary School

Library  Activities  :-

Library  is the  treasure  house  and  hub  of  all  Academic  Activities  of the  institutions. The  librarian   has   a  oral  role  in mobilizing  the  library  resources  for the  benefit  of  students  and  staff.

The  following library  based  Activities  are  suggestive  for  effective  implementation and the  required  resources  have  to be  created .

1. Readers Club activities :-

•  Update  ad  improve   the  collection  of  books  according  to the  stream i.e.  science  ,  Commerce  and  humanities .
• Promotion   of  reading  habit  among the  students and 
• Created  displays that  encourage  reading .
• Interaction with  individual  students  in way  that  builds  their  reading confidence and  encourages  them  to read  for 
• Publication of  handwritten  magazines  on special 
• Preparation  of  wall  magazine  as inter house  competition .

OTHER ACTIVITIES:

• Career guidance Programme on a regular basis
• Guidance for Common Entrance Test (CET/JEE/NEET/NDA etc…)
• Special reference books service for Board Class Students.
• Co-ordinate the publication of school magazine/news
• Identifying best readers from each class and awarding them to motivate the students to utilize the

            library facilities to the optimum level.
